Award Description: Saint Francis Xavier, student of St. Ignatius Loyola, was a co-founder of the Society of Jesus who is remembered for his missionary work, both as an organizer and a pioneer. His work is most notably found in India, China,
and Japan where he spent most of his time ministering to the needs of the poor and sick.
The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding student leadership in promotion of an international and global perspective through creating a welcoming environment that helps integrate international students into the campus
community by opening the eyes of others to the beliefs, values, perspectives, practices, languages, arts, religions, or other aspects of international culture.
